Athens

Athens is one of the world's oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning around 3400 years! Classical Athens was a powerful city-state, a centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum, and the birthplace of democracy and modern thought. History is engrained in everything you see and feel when walking around Athens. Experiencing this amazing city to begin our trip is made all the better by the passionate Greek people and their incredible cuisine!

Santorini

The island of Santorini used to be a massive volcano until it erupted in one of the largest tectonic events in history. Eventually most of the volcano sunk into the sea leaving only the eastern rim as a half moon crescent-shaped relic of the ancient volcano. The east coast of the island gently slopes into the sea and the west coast is entirely made up of dramatic cliffs dotted with little towns clinging to the side. Shimmering volcanic black sand beaches around the island add to its beauty and offer great places to relax during the day. But simply exploring this incredible island, visiting the beautiful towns and finding a nice place to enjoy arguably the best sunset in the world is what makes Santorini so memorable!

Greece
Ios

Ios is a beautiful bohemian island plopped right in the deep blue of the Mediterranean with a cool alternative culture and deep history. In the 1960s Ios became a new waypoint for hippies from all around the world and this is part of the reason why it’s still considered to be the original party island in Greece, and it certainly lives up to its reputation! Today Ios is a stellar mix of day time chilling and night time partying, as exploring the island by bike or ATV or partaking in the various wicked water sports is just as fun as dancing the night away at one of the many chic bars or going to see a concert at the Odysseas Elytis Theatre where there are often festivals going on. So no matter what you're into, Ios is a place to have fun and lots of it!

Beaches Beyond Beautiful
Greece
Crete

One of the largest islands in the Mediterranean (Greece's largest), Crete is filled with a fascinating and beautiful history. From Europe's first palace, the Minoan ruins of Knosses, to the seaside Venetian fortresses of Rethymo, to the legendary birthplace of Zeus, to stunning old mosques and Byzantine monasteries. Besides its man-made wonders, Crete boasts a natural beauty of palm tree forests and soaring mountain ranges that cut along the coast and drop down into monumental gorges that reach right out to the sea. When we visit Crete on our trip, we spend an entire day exploring the unforgettable sights on the island before retiring to the lazy beach town of Plakias that is strategically situated along a very long beach and near the hiking trails that lead through the mountains to ancient monasteries. The epic-ness of Crete has been fabled for all of history and continues to be an almost mythical destination to experience!

Rhodes

Rhodos (or Rhodes) will captivate you with its gorgeous beaches contrasted by the medieval fortifications and stark white buildings. Its fascinating mixture of scenery from the beaches to the mountains to the historic buildings make Rhodos an island full of natural and manmade art. Adding in its consistently comfortable climate and wicked nightlife make Rhodos, dubbed the ‘Island of Roses’, the perfect spot to end our trip through Greece!

Oludeniz

A stunning and calm blue lagoon tucked behind a long stretch of beach creates the wonderful beach oasis of Oludeniz. Like many well-known beautiful places, Oludeniz has become popular with travellers around the world, although its popularity has made the town very visitor-friendly and created a handful of super fun activities to do while staying at this magical beach, the most fun and worthwhile one being paragliding. Gliding off of a 2000 meter high cliff over the mountainous area surrounding Oludeniz and gazing over the turquoise waters and then landing on the soft sand of the beach puts the cherry on top of the great experience of visiting Oludeniz!

Patara

The birthplace of St. Nicholas, known for his giving and charitable nature, Patara is a lot more than just Santa Claus' hometown. With a history dating back thousands of years, the mystic feel to this destination can be attributed to the stunning ancient ruins, desert mountain landscape and huge wide-open beach surrounding it. Patara's beach is Turkey's longest as its gorgeous white-sand stretches for an incredible 20 km! Days here are easily spent roaming about the quaint town, the surrounding ruins found amongst the shifting sand and doing one of the oldest activities in Patara: worshiping the sun by basking in its rays on the beach!

The Blue Cruise

The picturesque coastline and calm blue water of the Mediterranean Sea is a thing of legend, and truly experiencing this magical body of water is a huge part of traveling through the region and the only way to really experience it is by living on it - which is exactly what we do for 4 days! Turkey is famous for its Gulet boats (large wooden sailboats) that offer a luxurious and wicked home for us while sailing down Turkey's gorgeous coastline along the Mediterranean Sea. Life at sea is wonderfully simple and enjoying it with your entire group just adds to the unforgettable experience. We live together, eat together and party together! There are several amazing stops along the way and always, there’s the Gulet for lounging, suntanning, taking naps and diving off of into the warm water of the Mediterranean!

Olympos

Historically an important port and popular pirate haven, Olympos is a secluded oasis laden in ancient history. Picturesque ruins, like old amphitheatres and bathhouses, appear amongst the beautiful forest leading to the beach, which offers its own sanctuary of sun-bathing and gorgeous views. The calm ambience that warms Olympos makes this destination an ideal place on our Turkey trip to enjoy an incredible setting and relax as you walk along streams that run through wild grapevines, past buildings thousands of years old and to a beach that will have you constantly taking photos to have evidence of the amazing sights you witnessed while in Olympos!

The Cave City of Cappadocia

Deep in the heart of Turkey lies Cappadocia, a moon-like setting with houses and churches carved right into the cliffs by the ancient troglodytes. This magical place is like no other place on Earth and you'll have the opportunity to see so firsthand when you float above Cappadocia's fairy chimneys in a hot-air balloon, an activity that shouldn't be missed here! The friendly locals host a rowdy nightlife and make Cappadocia a fun place day and night. It's one of our favourite spots on our trip as the huge mazes of underground cities built right into the cliffs display a wonderful harmony of living one with nature and are a constant source of wonder!

Istanbul

Thousands of years old and located literally at the centre of the world, Istanbul (formerly Constantinople) has always been an incredible destination for travellers. Its eclectic mix of culture, architecture, history and people make it a place that seemingly melds together the eastern and western worlds and transcends the gap between the ancient and modern one, too. Istanbul is a place that you can gaze upon some of the world's most amazing and historic buildings, The Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia, and then smoke shisha and drink tea with locals on the streets in trendy shopping districts. The Istanbul of today is a hub for art, fashion, music and politics and has one of the best nightlife scenes in Europe, but it's also a city that hasn't forgotten its identity and its beautiful traditions are weaved seamlessly into its modern identity. You’ll quickly see why Istanbul has always been known as the 'City of the World's Desire'.

Epic Experiences you will have on this adventure

Go Scuba Diving

Diving is like no other experience on Earth. Life under the water is silent and peaceful, everything is flowing and moving in a way that we land creatures are unaccustomed to. Despite all of our high tech equipment, we are extremely out of our element in the water and it is a humbling experience to watch and observe what life is like under the sea. Fish come in all shapes, sizes and colours and move together in a harmonious unison through beautiful coral and twisted sunlight. On our trips, scuba diving is a huge activity as we travel to countries that offer some of the best diving in the world. The Caribbean in Central America possesses the second largest reef in the world, the warm waters of the South Pacific in Southeast Asia are home to the largest diversity of sea-life in the world and the seas of the Mediterranean are full of rich history and beauty. There is a whole universe under the ocean and experiencing what it's like to be in it is a must at least once in your life!

Party in Ios

Ios is the original Greek party island and offers up some up the best parties in the Mediterranean while still maintaining the laid back lifestyle we're all looking for when we chase paradise. Due to its lack of an airport, Ios has remained somewhat overlooked and less popular than some of its island neighbours but that has allowed it to retain a typically Greek feel to it and avoid it turning into a complete gong show. There are a number of gorgeous beaches that you can laze around on and play an array of wicked water sports to chase your hangover away - or if you still haven't gone to bed yet, just another fun place to party! But young or old, everyone goes out for a night of partying in Ios, it's what life on the island revolves around and, to be honest, it's just way too much damn fun to miss out on! It's something every traveler should experience at least once.

Go Paragliding

There may be no better way to get a feel for how beautiful a place is than by slowly soaring above it. As backpackers, an excursion like paragliding often gets neglected by the need for things like rum and more rum. But when you get to a place that is just so visually incredible that it defies description then we highly recommend forking out the extra dough to get yourself high and enjoy a view like none you've ever had. There are plenty of places in the world where you can paraglide, but Oludeniz in Turkey is probably the best and when you're flying through the sky and staring down at the beauty below, it's easy to see why.

Sail through the Meditteranean

Sometimes there just isn't anything better than being out on a boat on a hot, sunny day. But if that boat is a yacht filled with 20 of your friends and that hot, sunny day is right smack dab in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea then it's really something else! During our trip through Turkey, we spend 4 glorious days on a yacht sailing down the stunning coastline of the Mediterranean and it's such an incredible experience that we think everyone should do it.

Ride in a Hot Air Balloon

Let's face it, we all want to ride in a hot air balloon. There's something about them that has captivated our imagination since we were kids. And what's not to love? You get to float up to great heights in a giant picnic basket attached to a massive balloon powered by an open flame. It's an experience that belongs on everyone's bucket list. Deep in the jungle of Laos along the Mekong River and surrounded by limestone cliffs, Vang Vieng is definitely one of the most incredible places on the planet to view from a hot air balloon, and the cave city of Cappadocia with its moon-like terrain and fairy chimneys is like no other place on Earth and perfect for viewing from the air at a relaxing pace in a hot air balloon to truly soak up its incredible beauty! *This experience is not doable from June-August

See a Santorini Sunset

The sun sets all over the world, obviously, but in some places it just puts on a nicer display than others and Santorini, Greece is said to have the nicest sunsets in the world. The towns and villages of Santorini provide a Mecca of classic beauty for photographers and the village of Oia, in particular, offers perhaps the most stunning location to view the famous ethereal sunset of Santorini that never seems to disappoint each evening it repeats the beautiful display.

Visit the Blue Mosque

Like the Taj Mahal in India and the Eiffel Tower in France, it's hard to justify travelling through Turkey without visiting the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Officially known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, it is popularly known as the Blue Mosque because of the gorgeous blue tiles decorating its interior. Built in the early 1600's at the height of the Ottoman Empire, it combines a number of both western church and eastern mosque architecture and fittingly represents the point in the world where East meets West - Pope Benedict XVI even visited the Blue Mosque in 2006, marking only the second time in history a pope has visited a Muslim place of worship.

Hagia Sofia Tour

The Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) in Istanbul has been a Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a Roman Catholic Cathedral, a Greek Orthodox Cathedral again, an Imperial Mosque and is now a museum of all of these times put together! It is an utterly unique building whose story spans 14 centuries and serves as a portal to the sordid history of Istanbul. It was the world’s largest cathedral for nearly a thousand years was the inspiration for the Blue Mosque. They mirror each other over a large square, making a walk in the park an entrance to another world. We visit the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in the same day, making it easy to see why these two structures are such a brilliant, yet drastically different pair. An hour in the Hagia Sophia is like a time warp. There are pieces and clues from each era to find, and the place is so huge that you could be pointing out something new for hours! We give you free reign of the place without a guide in order to let you discover it with your friends and really experience the true beauty within.

Smoking Shisha

Nothing says Turkey like sitting on a rug around a small table surrounded by cushions, friends and sweet-scented smoke! Smoking a traditional nargile (hookah) is the ultimate tool for slowing life down and relaxing. In the 1700s to smoke with the sultan was a high honour. Today, it would be an honour to share one with new friends while making new memories. They’re available at almost every café and the sweet scent of the tobacco and flavours fill the air as you walk down the streets in any town we visit. Our favourite spot is at our hostel in Istanbul where people-watching is prime and the coals are always flowing. Sitting down with a hookah and some friends reminds you that life is meant to be lived by relaxing and having fun! What flavour will you try? Apple, watermelon, cola, mint? Whatever you’re into, grab a seat and enjoy the slow life in Turkey!

Chimera Flame Hike

The Chimera Flame in Olympos is said to come from the Chimera monster, slayed and ever-burning underground. Science says it’s just a type of methane emission, the biggest discovered on land, that has been burning for at least 2500 years. We say it’s good for s’mores. After a windy, private bus ride we start the hike up. It’s about a 3 km walk up the ancient stone steps. Make sure to bring a headlamp! The further you are up the hill, the further you are from reality and anything else really. No shops, no hassle. Once you reach the top, you’ll see fellow backpackers hunched around one of the dozen or so flames telling ghost stories and sharing bottles of wine. We’ll be sure to haul up some crackers, marshmallows and chocolate to make some s’mores and then just sit back to watch the flames burn through the rock, the stars glow over the Mediterranean, and the joy sweeping across everyone’s faces.

Sunset in Patara

The sunset in Patara is something you don’t want to miss. This small town boasts one of the longest beaches in Europe, and the winds make ever-shifting dunes, perfect to perch on while watching the sun set over the Mediterranean on another beautiful day in paradise. We hop in a friend’s truck and head out to a secret part of the beach where no one else goes and then walk up the highest dune. It seem as if we’re hiking in the desert until you hit the peak and see the sea expanding over the horizon for what seems like eternity. Plus, the dunes are like your own personal playground! Rolling down, racing up—it’s like walking on quick sand. Once the sun starts to set, it’s a mood changer. Whatever is in the air in Patara makes this sunset totally unique. A bright red orb slowly growing and falling in between islands in the distance, eventually settling on the other side of the world. The best part about sunsets? It means that it’s nighttime! A quick ride back to Camel Bar for a beer and some beer pong to get things started sounds about right to us!

Rock Climbing

Want to test your sense of adventure? You’ve got to go Rock Climbing in Olympos. The crevasses in the huge rock valley make perfect shady spots and an amazing all-natural out door rock climbing paradise. Whether you’re a beginner or an avid climber, there’s a challenge for you on these walls. It’s a short walk from our accommodation, but it’s a whole other world on the other side of the road. With trained climbers and full equipment, safety is an important start to climbing. Once you’re all harnessed in and amped up, climb on! If you’ve never climbed before, this is the place to start. A little hard work and determination will bring you right to the top for that great feeling of personal accomplishment and triumph. So why not do it again? With a range of lines to try, you could be there all day, up with the goats. Olympos is THE place to rock climb in Turkey. Plus, the bar is just a hop away for a well-deserved cold one after your hard work!

Go to a Turkish bathhouse

Everyone knows that overcoming cultural barriers is part of travelling but when those cultural barriers need to be overcome in the nude or undies, it becomes quite an experience! Going to a Turkish bathhouse (hamam) is a very common activity both for locals and visitors to Turkey. Essentially, you relax in a sauna to begin and then cool yourself off with cold water before receiving a full body wash/massage - this part of the experience can differ slightly from one hamam to another but for most westerners being thoroughly scrubbed down in a room with other people also getting scrubbed down is pretty foreign to us, especially when you start getting bent and twisted during the massage! However, once you see that it is common practice, it becomes more than just a place to get cleaned and relax, it is also a social activity and one that you will hopefully thoroughly enjoy. Regardless, going to a Turkish bathhouse is a must-do activity when in Turkey and one we find can be a little more fun to do with friends. Just don't cheap out too much when picking your hamam!

Pirate Boat Volcano Trip around Santorini

One of the coolest activities available on our 20-day Greece trip is hiking a volcano! The volcano itself is still active and its last eruption wasn’t long ago, in 1950. But not only do we hike it…we spend the whole day on a pirate boat with other like-minded travelers stopping at a few other islands while getting there and back! Enjoying the magnificent beauty of the Santorini Caldera along the way and enjoying some morning wine doesn’t hurt either. We hop on the boat in the late morning, head straight to the volcano where we face the heat and the incredibly unique volcanic surface. After the hike, we cruise over to some warm springs and cover ourselves in mud! Sound weird? It is. The mud is said to have healing properties for your skin and body. Once we rinse off and we’re looking rejuvenated, we cruise over to Thirassia for a cheap lunch and another optional hike up some switchback stairs for a unique view of Santorini, followed by a wonderful boat ride back, bringing us home just in time to get ready for the amazing clubs Santorini has to offer. This is one of those Epic Experiences you'll want to splurge on!

Road Trip in Rhodes

Who doesn’t love a good road trip? We hop on a coach bus with a local driver to take us from one end of Rhodes to the other. From the Old City, down to Prasonisi Beach, with two other beach stops in between, it’s a day full of sun, fun and window watching. It’s the perfect way to see the entire island in one day, in the relaxed and fun Free & Easy fashion. We play some frisbee, drink some beers (before they get too hot!), watch windsurfers, soak in the rays and do whatever the hell we want! On the way back we stop for an unbelievable—and uncrowded—view of the sunset overlooking an old church while locals sell homemade honey, liqueurs and other delights, great for souvenirs or snacks for the bus ride back. Join us in Greece to enjoy this one of a kind experience that we’ve been perfecting for years - it's one you’ll find nowhere else!

Walking Tour of Athens, The Acropolis & The Parthenon

Walking about Athens is a trip in and of itself—the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy with a history spanning more than 3,400 years, it is one of the most storied cities we've ever known. And classical Greece is still very much alive in Athens with historical monuments, works of art and ancient roads visible throughout the city. Sitting above it all is The Acropolis, an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the city and containing the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, such as the Propylaia, the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike. But there is one building that is the most famous of all and beautifully portrays the essence of ancient Greece: the Parthenon. A massive, marble white temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, the Parthenon was completed in 438 B.C.E. and is one of the most important surviving structures in western civilization. Regarded as an enduring symbol of Athenian democracy, the Parthenon is not just a wondrous sight to behold but also one of the world's greatest cultural monuments and will no doubt be one of the most unforgettable man-made structures you'll ever see!

Hiking up to Ancient Thira

Perissa Beach is one of our favourite places in Santorini; it's also where we happen to stay when we're on the island. When you get there, don't be surprised if you see a random white church built into the middle of a cliff...just walk towards it. Why, you may ask? Well why the heck not, let’s go on an adventure! What you will find is a footpath. It will lead you up to the old church, and then beyond that to the Ancient City of Thira. Now this is no stroll on the beach; expect a 45-90 minute hike, depending on your fitness level, that will take you 360 meters above the shoreline! The entry once you get to the top is 2 euros (not included). The city itself is mostly ruins dating back to 300 B.C.E. It sits on a ridge atop Messavouno Mountain, and is named after the mythical ruler of Santorini Island, Theras. The city itself was inhabited up until 726 C.E. and went through multiple excavations in the 20th century. If you’re willing to push through the difficult parts of the hike, you will be rewarded ten-fold with incredible views of the island, so sit back, feel the burn, and enjoy the view knowing you worked so hard to get it!

Boat Trip to Palm Beach in Preveli Gorge

Grab a mug of sangria and climb aboard our private boat! A great trip around the coast of Crete from Plakias Beach to Palm Beach will awaken the pirate within you. At Palm Beach we will explore the unique micro-ecosystem that exists courtesy of no wind and a tropical atmosphere, and we can spend a few hours throwing a frisbee, drinking sangria, and hiking deep into the gorge and its giant, prehistoric-seeming rocks. Exploring the quiet beach with all of your friends by your side is the FnEZ way! You won't want to miss this adventure to the palm trees, white sand and beach bar. Plus, knowing that our boat is sailing the same seas pirates sailed thousands of years ago, passing their booty caves and old keeps will ignite your imagination as we sail another Mediterranean day away in Crete.

River Hike in Plakias

Looking for a reason to hike? How about just because? This river hike in Plakias is challenging, but worth it. Not for beginner hikers, this will be sure to excite any avid trekkers’ need for adventure. Water shoes or waterproof hiking shoes are recommended, as well as a clear head. Maybe not the best one to try hungover or if you’ve been drinking all day. Besides, you’ll need both hands to navigate this one! A two-and-a-half hour hike takes us through the Cretan countryside, in and out of the hot sun, to an opening by the river. We hop right in and follow it up for about 2 kilometres over huge boulders, all under the shady canopy of the river trees. The hike climaxes at a small river pool with a picturesque bridge overlooking it. We cool down with a swim in this seeming fairy wonderland then head back the way we came, emerging from the river into the hot sun to warm ourselves and dry our shoes. While drinking is not recommended ON this hike, it most certainly is recommended AFTER! Beer always tastes better when you’ve earned it, and after this hike, you will! Grab a Mythos, sit by the sea and cheers your comrades on a day well spent!

Pirate Booty Hike in Plakias

Behold! Pirate Booty! We’ll grab a refreshment as we walk along the beach towards the start of this hike. It takes us across the amazing cliffsides of Plakias Beach, skyrocketing above us and below. But as dangerous as that might sound, it’s a hike for all skill levels. Overlooking the bay we’ll make our way to a couple of man made caves created by the Germans during the Occupation. Moving through them, we come across a huge ancient hold where, rumour has it, pirates used to hide their booty! You can see an old wall that has fallen away and why it would have been the perfect hiding spot! Then we’ll head back the way we came, but take a hard right into the Cretan countryside, through fields, dirt roads and hiking paths all while sipping on a cool beverage until we get to the Damnoni beach for a swim, lunch at one of the restaurants (not included), and some well deserved refreshments! Keeping it Free & Easy, we’ll stay as long as we like, do what we like, and enjoy the most classic pirate booty of all: a cold drink.

ATV Roadtrip in Santorini

What better way to see the sights of beautiful Santorini than on an ATV ride through the countryside? There is more to this stunning island than the postcard sunset view, so grab a friend, hop on your ATV (only if you feel comfortable using one of course!) and head straight into an island adventure! Fly solo on your own little day away from the group, or let one of your amazing leaders take you on a joy ride you’ll never forget. From the lighthouse, to the ancient Akrotiri ruins, viewpoints of the Caldera, hidden taverna gems for great eats, volcanic beaches, Fira’s shopping district, or Oia’s white buildings, this choose-your-own-adventure kind of day is as flexible as it is fun. There is nothing like the feeling of the open road and no better place than Santorini to explore it with your Free and Easy Family! Too busy to get around to this in Santorini? You can always rent one in Ios instead. A whole different experience on a whole different Island! Whatever you choose, you'll never forget that feeling of being in control of your own adventure.

Splash Around in a Waterpark

Ready to head back in time to your childhood, splash around like a six year old, never stop smiling, and have a really, really, REALLY good time? The Water Park in Faliraki just outside of Rhodes Town is the place for you! It’s got adventure and fun around every corner. First we take a quick walk from our hotel to the bus stop for a free shuttle straight to the water park. As soon as you enter, you’ll know why we love it so much. The first thing you see is triplet slides that are as insane as they look. After that there’s carpet races, half-pipes on tubes, twin twister slides, an epic space bowl and that’s all before we break for lunch. With a lazy river, wave pool, two pitch black slides, a crazy extra wide slide, and one cement mixer this park will awaken your inner child from start to finish! Plus there's a restaurant, snack bar, locker rooms, and lounge chairs if you get tired of all the running around and just want to soak up some sun. Let OUR inner child meet YOUR inner child and let's go outside and play!

Waterfall Snorkel Trip

Start your day in Plakias right by hopping on a bus and heading to the top of Kourtaliotiko Gorge. From there you’ll hike down the stairs with your snorkel gear, hop into the refreshingly cold water and then head off to find a waterfall! An epic adventure that includes hawk sightings, crazy cool eels, a waterfall made of fresh glacier spring water that you can drink as you swim, a fruit lunch, all of your friends alongside you, and a photographer to capture it all! After you’re done absorbing the beauty of the Gorge, head back up the ancient steps, hop on the bus for one more stop and be prepared for the bonus of getting to watch a skilled potter give a demonstration of his life’s work. With no pressure to buy anything, watch as he closes his eyes and creates beautiful pieces of art just by touch. Plus, taking a look around his not-so-traditional shop is quite the adventure, with surprise creations around every corner. And this was just the morning! After all that exploring, discovering, and adventuring it’s time to head back to Plakias for an afternoon of doing whatever you want. #LiveFree and Easy!

Try Water Sports in Ios

In Ios we stay on the beautifully idyllic Mylopotas beach, complete with soft sand and cool Mediterranean waters lapping the shoreline. Want to explore more than just the sand and beach chairs? The water sports are unlimited here! To begin with, for any divers, or anyone who has always wanted to try diving, this is the place for it in Greece! Some dives start by simply walking straight off the beach into the deep blue water while others have you diving off a boat to explore a super cool shipwreck. Whichever it is, this island will keep you mermaiding around underwater all day. Or, if you’re not a diver, you can jump on the boat and do some snorkeling instead! Of course there’s also paddle-boarding, tubing behind a boat, kayaking and even paddle-boating if you’re ready for a fun trip around the bay! These awesome activities allow you to really get out there and enjoy a different perspective of this beautiful island that we love so much.

Beach Cleanup

Our Trash Hero beach cleanups are a great way to do good, feel good, and get some beach all at the same time. With thousands of tons of trash swirling around the oceans, the unfortunate reality is that some of it washes up onto the beautiful beaches we fall in love with around the world. So we thought ‘Let’s do something about this!’ Our partnership with Trash Hero began in Koh Lipe, Thailand, where they regularly organized beach cleanup days. Today, Trash Hero has gone viral and can be found operating in Thailand and Indonesia, and is spreading into dozens more countries at a rapid pace. On our end, beach cleanup day quickly became one of the most fun and rewarding days on our Thailand trip. So we decided to spread the love, and have instituted a beach cleanup day into our regular itineraries across the world. Through our sponsorship and partnership with Trash Hero, our travellers and others like them have since collected tens of thousands of kilograms of trash from the beaches we travel to…and really, there’s nothing more epic than saving the world! ** We will always strive to make a beach cleanup happen, but sometimes we may not be able to make it happen **
