Engulfing yourself in a different culture is an opportunity to live a unique lifestyle and mature by learning from your own real experiences. I continually meet all these great people who are coming on FnEZ trips, usually the same age as I am and time after time I am greeted with the same comment of, “Your job rocks, do it as long as you can, I am jealous”. My job does rock! Every morning I wake up for work and I feel like I’m on holiday. It helps knowing the day may consist of hiking a volcano, or maybe some white water rafting, perhaps exploring some ancient temples, or just a good old day of testing out the sand on the beach.
I was raised in a small Alberta town. My parents started my passion for travelling and experiencing new cultures at an early age (who I thank and love very much for). I played hockey and raced motocross, worked on the family ranch, and come from a wonderful loving family. 5 Years ago I departed on a “quick” trip to Thailand which was supposed to be followed by a short visit to Australia before coming home to enter the corporate world. Well that trip ended up being nearly one year long across 13 countries in Asia. Interestingly, I now work in 5 different countries and am yet to put on that suit that is supposed to give you the means to take vacations to do what I presently am doing. And it’s not extreme to say I cannot pursue this lifestyle because somehow I find myself doing it. Anyone can live any life they desire; the pursuit of happiness is very real.
I’ve been working with Free and Easy since 2008 and it’s been a wild ride with tons of rewarding experiences that I couldn’t even begin to explain. As a business degree graduate with a goal of being a Masters graduate and one day teaching International Business, I couldn’t imagine a better prerequisite than helping to operate such a successful international company. Before I take the next step into Grad school, I look forward to furthering myself by fulfilling my temptation to meet as many people of the world as I can and subsequently learn as much as possible from each individual. Free and Easy Traveler allows me to do this and in a manner that couldn’t be more rewarding, exciting, and fun. The hardest part is leaving and once you get there you look back and laugh and thank yourself for booking the trip. Make a budget and just go, and get the most out of your trip, embark on a Free and Easy trip. Waking up every day knowing you will be hanging out in one of the world’s most tranquil destinations with an awesome group of friends is a feeling that does not get old. Pack your flip flops and a smile and I will see you in Paradise!
