Free & Easy and Tree Canada

Tree Canada is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1992. Under the direction of a 10-member volunteer Board of Directors, Tree Canada provides education, technical assistance, resources and financial support through working partnerships to encourage Canadians to plant and care for trees in rural and urban areas.**

Starting in September 2009 Free & Easy Traveler is joining forces with Tree Canada to help offset carbon emissions caused by our staff, leaders and travelers through flights to Asia and Central America. From each 200$ initial trip deposit received by each traveler, Free & Easy will donate one tree that will be planted in a Canadian rural or urban area to help offset the emissions caused by the flight taken. Each traveler will also be provided information on further off-setting their carbon emissions on their individual 'your trip' page for their 20 or 40 day trip including how many trees it will take to offset the emissions from their free & easy journey. This is our (and hopefully your!!) little contribuation. It's not much but every little bit helps! So come on, we dare you!! Make Canada (and the world) a greener place to live and help offset your carbon footprint by donating trees for your Free & Easy travel or any other regular day activity.
