Any taxes the governments, airlines or airports throw at us...we have already included and factored them them in our listed trip prices.

Flights

If you would like stopovers or flights to other destinations after the trip, we can arrange this for you. The extra cost for your flights will be added to your total trip cost. For those of you taking the 'land only' package, you will receive everything mentioned with the exception of the flight to and from Thailand.

Accommodations for the length of your free & easy experience

We have chosen some amazingly comfortable and stylish resorts at some destinations, but also chosen more basic backpacker bungalows at others. You’ll normally be sharing a room or cottage with one or two other travelers of the same sex.

Group Travel within Thailand

Includes all of your transportation while traveling with the group:
-train rides in an air-con car with sleeper
-boat rides through the islands
-bus rides on the mainland
-all boat taxis, mini-vans, and truck taxis while getting to and from accommodations with the group. 
(taxis that you take when doing your own activities are not included)

HAND-WOVEN JUMBO HAMMOCK

Each person on a trip will get a hand woven hammock made from a hill tribe village in Northern Thailand. You will receive your hammock once you arrive. Check out our ‘Hammocks’ section in the 'Thailand' trip menu for more info and pictures of our 20 designs you can choose from.

Bangkok/Temple Day Tour

We’ll kick off your first full day in Bangkok with an intro to Thai culture and a guided tour of a stunning Buddhist Temple.  We’ll ride local transport, see the various faces of Bangkok life, and check out the sweetest viewpoint of the city.   

2-day Rainforest Lake Tour

While visiting Khao Sok National Park, local guides will take us on a 2-day adventure deep onto a massive lake with unbelievable natural surroundings. The lake is bordered by dense rainforest and enormous limestone karsts that jut straight up from the lake. We’ll be spending the night at the homely ‘Lake House’ that has a restaurant and bungalows floating on the water! You can swim in the fresh water, kayak, see wildlife, go hiking, visit a cave, and enjoy a festive night with your group. Tasty meals are included!

Jungle Elephant Trek

What could be finer than trekking through the jungles of Khao Sok up to a nice cool and refreshing waterfall?  How about doing it while riding and elephant?  We have found a really nice, humane organization who will help us to ride these gentle giants through a stunning landscape for an afternoon.

2 knowledgable and fun Free & Easy leaders

As with any Free & Easy trip, your group will have 2 leaders that know Thailand and our destinations thoroughly. The knowledge, character, and enthusiasm of our leaders are essential ingredients to the 'Free & Easy' trip recipe.  Our leaders bring the group closer together and inspire fun ways to enjoy the trip to its fullest. Free & Easy Thailand Travel Guidebook:

We have 2 editions of this guidebook. ‘Thailand Preparations’ will be sent out after we receive your initial deposit. You will receive 'Thailand Experience' once you arrive in Bangkok.

‘Thailand Preparations’ will give you all the info you need to know for planning and preparing for your Free & Easy trip. It will explain about any important tasks you must do before traveling to Thailand, and make sure you are packing the right gear. It includes information on passports, visas, insurance, flight requirements, vaccinations, scuba diving, and some of our personal suggestions on how to prepare for a big trip to Thailand.

‘Thailand Experience' has been designed to help introduce you to Thailand and the places we'll be visiting. This book can act like a 'Lonely Planet' travel guide in that it gives you ideas for how to create your own experience within Thailand. This guidebook will be especially useful because it’s specific and in depth to the places we visit, so you can better understand how to make the most of each destination.
