40-day trip Summary
This trip could easily be 60 days with the number of places we’d love to share with a group. We have selected our absolute favorite destinations though, and narrowed it down to the best 40 days. Compared to our Thailand trip, the Philippines will involve more rigorous travel days to get to some of our sweet spots. This is not only because we are visiting more destinations but also venturing further off the beaten track. It is well worth it – after a long travel day you arrive at a new tropical paradise and feel that rush of being somewhere that not many travelers have managed to find. This trip could almost be looked at as a “Level 2” Free & Easy adventure because this experience touches closer to the roots of backpacking. Schedules in the Philippines are often quite loose; delays are common and changes can happen, so we stay flexible and make the best of wherever we are!
Our exact route through the Philippines is built around maximizing our chances of getting perfect weather on the trip. Different groups of islands experience different seasons, and our route is chosen to ensure you’ll have mostly hot, sunny days. Our first year in the Philippines proved that we were right on with the incredible weather we had for our groups. The schedule for each trip will therefore change for each group, but in this ‘Trip Summary’ we’ll explain the essential 8 destinations of each Philippines trip and leave a bit of mystery to what the last 1-2 will be. Check out the menu to the left for a little preview of the amazing places this trip will include. The last item on the list highlights one experience that can ONLY be expected at a certain time of year…so read on, and begin to anticipate the Ultimate 40-day experience into the ‘new frontier’.
