This little colonial town will give you an authentic taste of urban Nicaraguan life. This quaint city has lots of interesting colonial architecture left over from the Spanish - the biggest cathedral in Central America for starters! You could spend an entire day just cruising around the streets and observing the local life. Then hit up the cafes at night for some live music, dancing and mucho cervezas!
But there’s something else that we like to get into when we’re staying in Leon - volcano boarding! Yup we’ll be hiking up a smaller volcano and then jumping on boards and then blasting down the side of it! Sounds pretty hardcore doesn’t it!?
