While crossing from coast to coast, you’ll visit a region of the mainland that is covered with ancient rainforest and home to some of the world’s most diverse plants and animals. Khao Sok offers an incomparable experience of Thailand and all its natural wonders. Away from the beach, you are surrounded by the whooping of gibbon calls, and are seeing Thailand in a totally new light. You can ride an elephant through the jungle to a waterfall, feed monkeys in the wild, and go tubing down a river bordered by sheer limestone cliffs. You also have the option to just kick back and enjoy the sights and sounds from your hammock. The place we stay has a relaxed open-air bar/restaurant, cozy bungalows, and the friendliest Thai family to take care of us.
During our time in Khao Sok, we will take the group on a 2-day trip out on a lake deep in the rainforest. We’ll travel by boat alongside dramatic cliffs and forests to end up at our perfectly secluded spot. You’ll get to hike through a cave, swim in the fresh water, eat tasty Thai meals, and sleep in bungalows floating on a raft! It’s always one of everybody’s favorites (but, every place becomes a ‘favorite’ for some reason or another…).
